Director's Prize

Each year a prize is awarded to one member of the group who has excelled in both academic work and in the ability to assimilate and participate in the life and culture of Spain. The official description of the prize (usually awarded while the student is still in Madrid) is as follows:

 

Premio del Director: Se otorgará anualmente un premio a aquel alumno del Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain que, a juicio del Director Residente y su Ayudante, mejor represente los ideales del Programa. Se concederá prioridad al esfuerzo y logro académicos, pero contarán como factores decisivos la capacidad y el interés que el estudiante haya demostrado para integrarse dinámicamente en la cultura y en la vida españolas, lo que acreditará su madurez y sentido de responsabilidad.
