The William M. Bristol, Jr., '17 Scholars Program recognizes approximately 10 of the strongest applicants from each entering class by meeting their full financial need without loans for four years. Bristol Scholars also receive a $4,000 research and exploration stipend.
The profile of a Bristol Scholar: Top five percent of high school class, SAT median of 1450, strong involvement in school and/or community activities. Students are presented with this merit award regardless of their financial need.
The Hans H. Schambach '43 Scholarship recognizes approximately 10 of the strongest applicants from each entering class by meeting their full financial need without loans for four years. Schambach Scholars also receive a $4,000 research and exploration stipend. The academic profile of a Schambach Scholar is similar to that of a Bristol Scholar.
The Bacot, Gunn, Kempf Family Scholarship is available to students from Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Essex County, New York. J. Carter Bacot '55 had established this scholarship to encourage geographic diversity among the Hamilton student body and to provide financial assistance for students from areas to which he had family ties. The Bacot award provides scholarship assistance to families with financial need, though a limited number of merit-based grants are also considered. Candidates will be judged on their high school performance, standardized test scores, demonstrated leadership, and community involvement.
No special applications for these scholarships are required; nominations from guidance counselors are accepted.
Students must report outside awards to the financial aid office.
