InterviewsThe interview gives you an opportunity to ask questions about Hamilton and allows us to learn more about your interests and strengths. Because the admission committee wants to know as much as possible about each applicant, a personal interview is strongly recommended. Students who have not interviewed will be at a competitive disadvantage in the admission process.
To schedule an interview, call the Admission Office at (800) 843-2655. Because our interviews are fully booked weeks in advance, you should try to schedule an interview well before your intended visit. The last day to conduct an on campus interview for Class of 2014 applicants is January 29, 2010. We will begin to interview juniors on February 1, 2010. Off-Campus InterviewsHigh school seniors who cannot visit the campus may request an off-campus interview with an Alumni Admission Representative during the fall semester. Once a request for an off-campus interview is received, we will try to arrange one for you in your immediate area (though in some cases, you may be asked to travel up to an hour).
When you submit your request for an off-campus interview you will receive an automated response to confirm that your request has been received. We will then follow up later this fall with more specific details regarding your interview. Typically we do not begin assigning off-campus interviews until mid-fall as the focus of our volunteers at this time is on representing Hamilton at fall college fairs.
