At Hamilton … off-campus study mattersA natural outgrowth of the freedom and responsibility inherent in Hamilton's approach to education is that students pursue their quest for intellectual and personal maturity in an unfamiliar environment. Approximately 40 percent of all Hamilton students take on new intellectual challenges through off-campus study. At Hamilton, such opportunities are available in every major, in (nearly) every language and on every continent (even Antarctica!). The goal of these programs is to maintain the rigorous standards of a Hamilton education while providing students with the added educational benefits that come from interacting with other cultures.Many students report that they truly came into their own while studying in a foreign country or at one of the College's programs in Washington or New York.
