Keynote Speaker K. Blake Darcy '78 and Lunch Buffet
Join the GOLD Group and members of HALT (Hamilton Alumni Leadership Training) for the kickoff. The event will feature introductory remarks from alumni and College personalities and a keynote presentation from K. Blake Darcy '78 titled "A User's Guide to the Hamilton Network."
K. Blake Darcy '78
Mr. Darcy is one of the pioneers of online commerce as the founder and CEO of the online brokerage firm DLJdirect. He led DLJdirect from its inception in 1987, through its IPO in 1999 and sale to Bank of Montreal in 2001. During this time, Blake led the company's global expansion with ventures in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai and India. Under his leadership, DLJdirect ventures were recognized for their innovative products and quality of service. A former Alumni Trustee of Hamilton College, Mr. Darcy currently serves as CEO of Formula Investing, an online money management firm, and is on the executive board of Hamilton Venture Network, a Hamilton alumni group dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship within the Hamilton Alumni Association.

These presentations, from alumni, faculty and friends, are designed to help you focus and hone your approach to your career and get you where you want to go. Each session will be repeated, so everyone will get a chance to participate in two.
- Planning an Effective Job Search:Don Chizzonite '77, Stephen Stemkoski, director of human resources at Hamilton College, and Kino Ruth, director of the Career Center will share their expertise in the strategies and tools that get results. (KJ127, Red Pit)
- Managing Relationships: Consensus Building and Leadership in the Workplace: Join Alex Mucelli '86, founder of Kythera Capital Management, as he discusses his distinguished career as Executive Vice President of Graham Capital Management, COO at Arden Asset Management, eight years at Goldman Sachs & Co. and his early career in the New York City Mayoral Administration. - Analog Bosses and Digital Applicants: Using New Technology and Social Media to Advance Your Career: Join us for a conversation with digital media experts Shelly Palmer P'11,'13 and Eric Kuhn '09 as they explore how using social media can advance your career.
