Welcome to Kirkland College alumnae's dedicated space on the Hamilton Web site. The great energy that fueled our June 2007 reunion continues, primarily through the Committee for Kirkland College. It is heart-warming to keep what is best about the Kirkland legacy alive on the Hill and for students. If you would like to get more involved, please e-mail me; the more voices, minds and hands, the better!
The Kirkland Endowment supports and reflects the educational principles that defined Kirkland College -- creativity, academic challenge, and independent spirit. It supports the needs and interests of women at Hamilton College by providing opportunities for them to:
• Achieve their academic potential
• Pursue their individuality
• Develop political and social consciousness
One of the goals for the Committee for Kirkland College is to establish a group of Kirkland alumnae who can serve as mentors for women at Hamilton. To learn about the Kirkland Mentoring Committee. More...

Kirkland Giving Initiatives
To help perpetuate the Kirkland legacy on College Hill a number of specific initiatives have been established.
Hamilton and Kirkland alumni and friends enjoyed an evening of art at the Prince Street Gallery in NYC on Thursday, November 19. The highlight of the evening featured a gallery talk in which the artist described the evolution of her work from primarily representational paintings inspired by her former surroundings in various east coast locales to the structured abstractions of her new paintings. Kirkalnd alumna Gina Werfel K'73 is a professor of art at the University of California, Davis.
She majored in art at Kirkland College and then earned an MFA from Columbia University. Her work has also been exhibited at the numerous galleries around the country.
Kirkland alumnae have used their education in many ways. Follow the link above to read about them. If you have news to share, please e-mail Sharon Rippey at srippey@hamilton.edu.
