STAYING ACTIVE IN THE HAMILTON COLLEGE COMMUNITY

Annual Fund Volunteers
Hamilton's Annual Fund consistently produces alumni and parent participation rates that rank among the best in the nation. It provides the foundation upon which the College's fund-raising success is based. The dedicated hard work of Annual Fund volunteers is a major reason alumni, parents and friends contribute so generously to Hamilton. Over 1,000 alumni and parents volunteer for the Annual Fund, making phone calls and writing notes to encourage donors to contribute unrestricted gifts, providing for student scholarships, faculty support, small classes and so much more to make the Hamilton experience unique. To learn more about volunteering for the Annual Fund, contact Dave Steadman '03, associate director, annual giving. More ...

Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD)
Recent graduates are an integral part of Hamilton's enthusiastic and supportive alumni body. Therefore, ensuring that young alumni remain connected to Hamilton is a major goal of our Graduates of the Last Decade Group. Currently, GOLD leadership committees in several large cities are responsible for planning events in their area. If you are a graduate of the last ten years, and are interested in getting involved, contact Paul Ryan '02, assistant director, alumni relations: regional@hamilton.edu

Reunion Volunteers
Reunions have always been a great time for alumni to gather together on the Hill to reminisce about their College days and to reconnect with friends and faculty members. Behind the scenes at reunions are many alumni volunteers who work hard to coordinate and plan details that make the weekend meaningful and fun. Sharing responsibility for both the reunion gift effort and planning activities to mark their milestones, committee members are at work many months before the weekend arrives to ensure a successful event. If you are coming upon a reunion year and would like to help organize activities for your class, please respond to letters from your class president and reunion chairs requesting volunteers one year prior to your reunion. Contact Erika Klar, director of reunion giving, at eklar@hamilton.edu.

The Alumni Council
There are more than 18,000 Hamilton and Kirkland alumni in the Alumni Association today. Within that group, about 240 class leaders, regional association presidents and committee members comprise the Alumni Council. The Council seeks to strengthen the relationship of all alumni with one another and with the College. The Council meets on the Hill twice each year for updates on new campus initiatives and to meet with faculty, students and administrators. A closely-knit group, the Council works hard to keep in touch with life on the Hill. When your class is looking for a new president or someone to plan reunions, consider volunteering to join the Council. When you receive invitations to Hamilton programs and activities where you live, come out and meet the volunteers who helped plan them and offer to help next time! More ...
