Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

  • In 1989 the NCAA formed the first Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  Today, the NCAA requires that every NCAA conference and NCAA member institution bring together a group of athletes to create its own Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
  • The mission of these Student-Athlete Advisory Committees, according to the NCAA, is to "enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
  • Hamilton is a member of the NESCAC SAAC, and since 1998 the college has also had its own Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
