Overview
The Hamilton College men's outdoor track and field program never boasted an NCAA individual champion until Peter Kosgei '10 arrived on campus. Kosgei broke through at the 2007 Division III championships as he finished first in the steeplechase. He cemented his place in Hamilton track and field history by defending his steeplechase title at the 2008 national meet, and then added a victory in the 5,000-meter run for good measure. Kosgei is following in the footsteps of Walter H. Pritchard '32, who was Hamilton's last great men's distance runner.
