Mary McLean Evans, Executive Director
Named Interim Executive Director in 2011, Mary has worked in alumni affairs and development for her alma mater since graduating from Hamilton in 1982. Mary's work in development brings extensive experience in external engagement and relationship building to the Career Center. In addition to overseeing student career development programs, during the 2011-12 academic year Mary will be primarily responsible for working with Career Center colleagues to implement recommendations from the Career Center Task Force, specifically developing a "best in class" program for Hamilton including strategic initiatives to build partnerships with trustees, alumni, parents, faculty and staff.
Kino Ruth, Senior Associate Director
Kino Ruth joined Hamilton as Director of the Career Center in 1999. Prior to coming to Hamilton, Kino was Associate Dean for External Relations at the Graduate School of International Economics and Finance at Brandeis University in Boston, where he also taught courses in International Marketing. In addition to his 25-plus years of work in student affairs and career services, Kino has experience in corporate sales and marketing in the financial services and plastics industries. He is a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa and of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

With more than 25+ years experience helping college students make career plans, David enjoys developing programs to enable students to explore career options and using technology to enhance resources available to them. He has recently focused his efforts on helping underclass liberal arts students obtain "career-related experience".
David received an M.Ed. degree in College Student Personnel from Northeastern University, an M.Div. degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.

Leslie Bell, Associate Director
Leslie has worked in the career development field for over twenty years and has been at Hamilton's Career Center since 1990. She enjoys working with students to help them determine their direction and pursue their goals and likes to involve alumni in helping with this process. She also serves on the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC). Leslie earned her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel and Counseling from Northeastern University and her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Denison University.

Heather Wixson, Associate Director

Heather has assisted college students in defining their career goals for over 5 years. As a former counselor at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY, she has worked with students from various backgrounds and with a wide range of occupational interests. She enjoys working one-on-one with students of all academic years to help them identify and pursue career and personal success. Heather received her MA in Adult Education from Buffalo State College, and her BS in Psychology from SUNY Brockport.

Shannon joined the Career Center staff as the Front Desk Coordinator in January 2005. In August 2008, she took the position of Publicity & Programming Coordinator. It is Shannon's goal to work creatively to send the messages of the Career Center to students by using email, Facebook and the Career Center publication, The Inside Track. She is also responsible for coordinating employer visits and publicizing recruiting opportunities. Shannon has over 15 years of experience of working in a corporate setting in which she learned the importance of customer service and professionalism.
Abby Taylor, Assistant Director, Employer Relations
Abby was hired in September 2011 as Interim Assistant Director, Employer Relations. Before joining the Career Center team, she worked in human resources, recruiting and sales at companies in Los Angeles and Boston and as an admissions representative for her alma mater. Her experience includes running competitive internship programs, working with volunteer networks and developing relationships with various employers on behalf of job seekers. Abby holds a BA from William Smith College and an MFA from Antioch University, Los Angeles.

Tori started at Hamilton College as the Human Resources Coordinator in September 2003 and joined the Career Center in August 2008. She is responsible for scheduling appointments for students with the Staff and Peer Counselors, as well as assisting students with general inquiries. She has a B.S. in Political Science from San Diego State University and over 10 years of administrative support and customer relations background.
