Hamilton's career shadowing program is designed to assist sophomore students with career exploration and decision making by offering the opportunity to "shadow" (observe) a Hamilton alumnus/a or parent in the workplace for a day or part of a day. By observing the nature of the work first-hand and asking questions of the alum/parent sponsor, students acquire insight into a career field and determine the suitability of that career.
This year, HamiltonExplore took place during the Hamilton winter break period January 2-13, 2012.
Alumni and parents: for this year we are seeking sponsors in the geographic areas of Boston, New York City and Philadelphia. If you work in or near one of these cities and are willing to host a Hamilton sophomore for a half or full day, please complete a brief sponsor form. Thank you!
Although college seniors are likely the group most focused on obtaining a job, Hamilton’s Career Center has programs in place that help guide underclassmen to those careers. One example is HamiltonExplore, a career shadowing program designed to assist sophomore students with career exploration and decision making by offering the opportunity to “shadow” a Hamilton alumnus/a or parent in the workplace for a day or part of a day.
