Keynote Speaker: K. Animashaun Duncre

Kishi Animashaun Duncre is an Assistant Professor in the Department of African American Studies at Syracuse University.  She received her PhD in the Environmental Justice Program of the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment.  Her dissertation is entitled, "Racialized Spaces: Exploring Space as an Explanatory Variable in Environmental Justice Analysis".  Kishi (pronounced "Key-shah") has been a committed advocate for environmental justice for over a decade.  Her first foray environmental activism was as a Toxics Campaigner for Greenpeace from 1994-1997.  She also served a brief stint with Ralph Nader's Essential Action.
