Application Process
You must complete and sign the Consent Form and return it (in hard copy) to the Career Center.
All other application materials (Internship Proposal, Budget Proposal, Statement of Financial Need, and Resume) must be completed and submitted electronically via HamNET. No paper documents other than the Consent Form will be accepted.
Electronic Application Steps:
(1) Log on to your HamNET account
(2) Click on the 'Employers' tab at the top of the page; search for'Summer Internship Funding' by typing the name into 'Keywords' on the right-hand side of the page, or by using the alphabetical listing and clicking on 'S."
(3) From the 'Available Positions' tab, select thefund(s) for which you are applying; read each fund carefully, as there may be specific qualifications required.
(4) Upload your documents onto your HamNET account; when you are ready to apply, select each document to be included in your application and click 'Submit.'
Finalists will be selected for an interview with a 2-4 member Selection Committee. Finalists who are off campus will be contacted to arrange a phone interview.
Recipients of internship funding will be required to:
- provide documentation by May 9th confirming that an internship has been obtained
- provide your supervisor's name and contact information
- provide mailing address(es) to which award checks are to be sent
- submit 2 progress reports to the Career Center
- agree to share your photo and information regarding your internship experience with the College for publicity purposes
Anyone who has been selected to receive internship funding but fails to secure the intended internship by May 9th, will not receive funding.
