Standardized TestsMost graduate programs require you to submit your scores from at least one of the several standardized tests as part of your application. Although these scores will not be the sole determinant in a school's decision about admitting you, they will be important. Most graduate programs require you to take the GRE's; however, there are several specialized tests for specific professional programs. The GMAT's are required for most business schools, the LSAT's are needed for law school, the MCAT's are necessary for medical school, and dental schools look for the DAT's. Additionally, some graduate programs require students to take the GRE Subject Tests which focus on a specific subject area such as psychology. Before registering for any of these tests, students should consult with the schools they are applying to in order to ensure that they take the correct tests.GRE GMAT LSAT MCAT DAT Foreign Service Officer Exam |
