Institutional Review Board

Hamilton College had four boards or committees responsible for overseeing research issues. Please consult The Red Book: General Information for Faculty to find the most current appointments to the following committees: Human Subject Institutional Review Board, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Scientific Misconduct Review Board, and Radiation Safety Committee.

The Psychology Department maintains a web site devoted to research ethics within the field of psychology. However, faculty conducting research within other fields may find this site to be a useful reference. Additionally, the Psychology Department provides links to the required Human Subject Institutional Review Board and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee forms.
