Network and Telecommunications
Server Information
The Network and Telecommunications team designs, installs, manages and replaces server hardware and operating systems for over 70 servers. We also routinely monitor these servers to minimize failures or degraded perfomance. The Help Desk provides primary support for the servers. The following list are some of the critical systems which are supported:

Mail
Manages personal Hamilton e-mail and calender accounts for students and employees.
Blackboard An online course-management system for students and faculty.
Web Servers Manages the Hamilton web space, web accounts and web development.
Datatel Software that is used to support the student and financial information offices of the College.
Student Storage Server Provides each student with 200MB of storage space which is accessible from any campus-networked computer or off-campus computer with internet connection.
Employee Storage Server Provides all faculty and staff with 1Gb storage space which they may access from any computer with internet connection.
Listserv Provides an easy way to create and maintain large or specailized e-mail mailing lists.
Citrix A client/server configuration which makes statistical software available for students and faculty.
Software Specialized academic software storage for both faculty and students accessible from the Hamilton web or any campus computer.
Windows Software Update Service (WSUS) The WSUS is an automated process to enable users of computers running the Windows XP and 2000 operating system to apply critical updates.
Multimedia Storage Server
Provides extra storage space for students taking video related classes.
Big Brother Program that monitors all of the servers and network hardware for Hamilton network.
