The Administrative Services Team provides internal support
for all ITS teams.
Specific Services and Expectations Include:
Facilitating the efficient completion of ITS internal processes,
ordering supplies, processing purchase requisitions and invoices; directing
telephone queries to appropriate members of ITS, assisting ITS teams to
complete projects, scheduling meetings and classes, coordinating ITS activities
with other organizations.
Expectations/Evaluation: Supplies from Staples ordered by
2 p.m. will arrive the next business day. Arrangements with food service need
to be made at least 3 days in advance. Public computing lab classrooms are
scheduled one day in advance unless a special software setup is needed.
If a special software setup is needed, the request should be made one week
in advance.
Distribution of shared resources, including check-in/out of
laptop computers and software installation disks.
Expectations/Evaluation: Reservations for laptops should be
made at least two days in advance, subject to availability. Reservations for
software installation disks should be made one day in advance. An
evaluation/comment form will be included with each laptop to obtain feedback
on any problems that have been encountered and suggestions for change.
Managing the department budget, including planning/preparation,
monitoring of expenses.
Expectations/Evaluation: ITS will work within the allocated
budget with approvals for expenditures made by team leaders and overseen
by the Vice-President for Information Technology. Success is measured by our maintaining expenditures
within budget and by cost-saving measures that are implemented while
maintaining quality.
