Purchasing and Fair Labor Practices

Hamilton College is a member of the Workers Rights Consortium and supports a manufacturing code of conduct that respects the basic rights of workers.

Hamilton College supports the basic principles and intent of the Designated Suppliers Program proposed by United Students Against Sweatshops www.studentsagainstsweatshops.org.

Hamilton College will continue to participate in discussions and work in good faith with the Workers Rights Consortium and other colleges and universities regarding the feasibility and implementation of the Designated Suppliers Program. The College continues to review details of the Designated Suppliers Program and its implementation plan as they are clarified.
