Root

Root Hall was named for the family that includes statesman Elihu Root (US Secretary of State, class of 1864). The building includes both singles (13' x 8') and doubles (16' x 10'), all equipped with cable and high-speed internet access. Root Hall also features the Clinton Child Care Center on the first floor, where many students volunteer. Root Hall has a large lounge with cable television and a study room on the second floor. The third and fourth floors each have furnished lounges and kitchenettes, and the first floor has another kitchenette and laundry facilities for the students. Root is designated as Substance Free Housing and is available to students in every class year. Root can accommodate 78 students and is co-ed (by room).
