Hamilton College is located in scenic Central New York adjacent to the picturesque village of Clinton, approximately 10 miles from Utica and 45 miles from Syracuse. Chartered in 1812, Hamilton enjoys a national reputation as a highly selective independent, coeducational, liberal arts college. The attractive campus, located on College Hill overlooking the Oriskany and Mohawk Valleys, features a mixture of traditional and modern architecture with excellent learning and recreational facilities. All sessions for the Rousseau Colloquium will be held in Dwight Lounge in the Bristol Center. Accommodations:

We have secured a block of rooms at the Ramada Inn in New Hartford, NY 15 minutes from campus. Guests staying off-campus must be responsible for transportation to the college for conference events. The hotel does not offer shuttle service. Travel Information
By Air Hamilton College is served by the Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, New York. The airport is approximately 50 minutes from campus. Albany International Airport is approximately 1 ½ hours from campus. BTI Travel can assist you with your air or rail reservations. By Rail By Auto (from the East or West)
Those arriving by car from the New York City area, New England or points west of Utica can best reach the College via the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90). After leaving the Thruway at Westmoreland (Exit 32), turn right after the toll booth, and then turn left onto State Route 233 south. Drive 5.2 miles, passing through two traffic lights, until reaching a flashing red light at the intersection of 233 and College Hill Road. Turn right at this intersection and drive up the hill for 0.4 miles. Campus signs will direct you to the Registration Desk at Eells Residence Hall . Follow Interstate 81 through Binghamton, New York, to New York State Route 12, exit 6 off I-81. Follow Route 12 north for approximately 50 miles through the village of Sherburne and turn left onto Route 12-B. Follow Route 12-B north approximately 35 miles. About 3 miles north of the village of Deansboro, turn left onto State Route 233 to the flashing red light at the intersection with College Hill Road. Turn left at the intersection and drive up the hill for 0.4 miles. Automobile Rentals:
