Unless you will participate in Adirondack Adventure or Outreach Adventure, plan to arrive on Thursday, August 22nd. Notify us of your travel plans in advance and we will arrange transportation from the Syracuse airport or Utica train/bus depot. If you are driving to campus, plan to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. when the Dean of Students Office is open (someone from our office will greet you and show you to your room, the dining hall, etc.).

Tuesday, July 30, 2013: Earliest date to arrive in the U.S. You may not enter the U.S. more than 30 days in advance of the report date on your I-20.
Wednesday, August 14, 2013: Earliest date to arrive on campus if you plan to participate in pre-orientation programs (Adirondack Adventure or Outreach Adventure).
Thursday, August 22, 2013: Earliest date to arrive on campus if you do not plan to participate in pre-orientation. Dean of Students Office Hours: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Friday, August 23, 2013: Clinton town tour to setup bank accounts, get cellphones and go shopping and latest date to arrive on campus for orientation and start of the semester! 1pm at the Kirner Johnson circle
Saturday, August 24, 2013: MANDATORY immigration information session and check-in. Bring your passport, I-20, Visa and I-94 card. 10:30am in the Elihu Root House
Also, all new students arrive for the general orientation program. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., you should follow the Hamilton New Student Orientation Schedule (join orientation group for first program; the President’s Welcome at Wellin Hall, Schambach Center).
Through Wednesday, August 28th, students will follow the general orientation schedule. Information about international student orientation is listed below.
August 30-31, 2013: MANDATORY sessions on navigating the American college classroom, Hamilton's Honor Code and academic support services, courses for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), etc.
Sunday, September 1, 2013: International Friendship Program (IFP) cookout. Students will meet their IFP hosts and enjoy a traditional American cookout. All international students – both those with and those without IFP hosts – are welcome. Location: The Hub at Bristol Campus Center.
Tuesday, September 3, 2013: Important session on student employment, applying for social security cards, and income tax information. Members of the Human Resources and Business Office teams will be available. In addition, Dean Harrison will have infomation regarding student health insurance. Sadove Center Conference Room.
