The Nature Conservancy, Lacome

Volunteers worked with the Nature Conservancy at the North Lake Nature Center and St. Tammany Parish. Their activities include clearing out debris at Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, planting marsh grass at Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge, repairing a boardwalk, cleaning/repairing buildings at North Lake Nature Center and planting trees in a public park. On their last day, the US Fish and Wildlife Serevice took the students on a canoe trip down the bayou.
