The Hamilton College Junior Year in France is under the supervision of the Department of French and the Programs Abroad Committee in consultation with the Academic Council of Hamilton College. It is fully accredited and periodically reviewed by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Hamilton College French professors direct the program on a rotating basis. The Director is constantly in touch with the College, thus ensuring that the standards and policies of Hamilton College are maintained. Behind each director is the collective experience of previous groups and the assistance of personnel, both in the United States and in France, with substantial experience in undergraduate education. The program is in contact with the American Embassy about security all over the world and asks that HCJYF students register with the American Embassy.
