Students who are not feeling well are encouraged to contact their professors regarding class absence, missed work, and make up work.
The Student Health Center does not issue "notes" for classes missed. When a student is advised by the Health Center to stay out of class due to sickness or injury, the Health Center will contact the Dean of Students office, for an e-mail to be sent to the professors of classes the student will not be attending for that day.
Appointment cards given to students should not be used by students or accepted by faculty as documentation for a class absence.
With the students permission, the Health Center will verify if the student was seen at the Health Center on a specific date, however, we will not discuss the reason for the visit.
Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Director of the Student Health Center or the Dean of Faculty.

Students who do not cancel a scheduled appointment before the time of the appointment will incur a $10.00 fee for a "No Show" appointment! To avoid the charge, please call and cancel your appointment so the appointment time may be used by a student who needs medical attention.
