	Half-Century Annalist Letters The Half-Century Annalist's Letter represents the continuation of a tradition that began in 1865 when George Bristol prepared the first one for the Class of 1815. It was only the second class to be graduated from Hamilton and consisted of six members. Almost every year since George Bristol wrote, an annalist has reminisced about classmates, the College and its faculty as they were in his undergraduate days 50 years earlier. This chain of letters constitutes an invaluable historical record of Hamilton's past and is the primary source of information about student life on the Hill over many generations.
