Research Assistance

Individualized appointments are available to assist students with assignments, research papers, senior projects and theses. Please visit the Reference Desk in Burke Library to discuss your research or to request an appointment. (More about research appointments.)

Library Instructions

Course-related instruction is available for faculty by appointment. Please contact your liaison librarian to discuss library-related assignments and to arrange for a library orientation or instruction session for your course. (More about Library Instruction Programs.)

Library Tours and Catalog Demonstrations

Tours and demonstrations are available during orientation week and by appointment.

Electronic Resources

Search the libraries' complete holdings using ALEX. Faculty and students have access to 150+ library databases and approximately 27,000 electronic journals through the library's subscriptions. Most of the databases and e-journals are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from on and off campus. Course reserve readings (excluding books) are available 24/7 from on and off campus. Off campus access to the library's electronic resources is restricted to currently enrolled students and employees of Hamilton College.
