Most DVDs and VHS tapes may be checked out by students under the following terms:
Items may be checked out for three days
Items may be renewed once unless a hold has been placed on them
Recalled items must be returned within 24 hours
Individuals may have no more than three items checked out at any time
Items must be checked out from the Media Library. However, they may be returned to either the Media Library or Burke Library
Fines for late returns are $2 per day
Individuals are responsible for the replacement costs of lost or damaged items
16 mm film may not be checked out
Items may not be borrowed during college breaks or the summer, since the Media Library is closed during these times
Media Library DVDs and videos may be checked out to faculty and staff under the same terms as apply to students, except that the loan period is one week.
Purchase requests should include complete title, distributor, name of director or producer and version if there is more than one. A copy of the source of the information should be provided whenever possible. Individuals placing orders will be notified when the item has been received by the Media Library.
Playback Equipment
Equipment is available on which patrons may view videos, DVDs or slides, or to listen to audiotapes, etc.
Computers
There is one networked computer in the Media Library for patron use. ALEX, databases and other resources may be accessed from them. Local black and white printing is available.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are not allowed in the Media Library.
