Not Your Father's Dining Hall

At one point or another, most students complain about dining on campus. After all, spending nearly four years eating at the same places, with the same familiar faces, can get a bit repetitive. But at Hamilton, the cure for food boredom is simple — creativity. If you’re eating pizza and burgers five days a week, it’s probably time to try something different, such as the seven-layer tortilla pie, a honey mustard salad with grilled chicken, or a toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox. With a half-dozen places to eat on campus and an endless number of food combinations, students at Hamilton really don’t have too much to complain about … well, except maybe for the sushi line.

Sushi in the commons
Considering that a sushi bar — with its assortment of fresh vegetables and seafood— even exists on campus, I really can’t complain about the wait. Sushi is just one of the many creative food options from which students choose. Each night in Commons a food station features a different theme. Some of the best were a taco-and-nacho bar, bananas foster night,make-your-own s’mores and a Mediterranean food night, complete with humus, baba ghanoush and a huge feta salad.
