Hamilton's Alumni Association alumni trustee election, has certified
that Susan C. Bacot '88, Deborah Forte K'75 and Gregory T. Hoogkamp '82 received the greatest
number of votes and will join the College's board of trustees effective

Class of 2009 Is Most Academically Competitive Ever
; Annual Fund Exceeds Goal
Two indicators of Hamilton's strength brought positive news this
summer. The incoming Class of 2009 is the most academically
competitive ever enrolled at the institution as measured by SAT

temperature that have exceeded the natural variation of the regional

A 'Celebration of Science' to Mark Science Center Dedication
Hamilton's 209,000 square-foot, $56 million Science Center will be officially dedicated during Fallcoming Weekend,
Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, 2005. The festivities will kick-off with the James S. Plant Lecture by Jared Diamond, author of Collapse, currently on The New York Times
bestseller list, and of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Guns, Germs and
Steel.
Other highlights include tours of the new facility, science
symposia and poster sessions and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with address
by House Science Committee Chairman Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY). See

Summertime and the Livin' Means Research
More than 100 students spent the summer at Hamilton conducting research. Among them were 10 entering first-year students
who had the rare opportunity to begin establishing ties with a
professor
before ever setting foot in a college classroom. Other students travel

Hamilton Named 'Campus Technology Innovator'
Campus Technology magazine featured Hamilton in its August
issue, citing the College as a 2005 Campus Technology Innovator. The
award recognizes the support of faculty/student use of multimedia in

Distinguished Service Award Call for Nominations
The Nominations Committee of the Alumni Council invites suggestions for
the 2006 Distinguished Service Award. Presented by the council on
behalf of the Alumni Association, the award recognizes an employee who
has substantially contributed to Hamilton through distinguished job
performance and through involvement in student, alumni or other

Fifty Years in the Making
Those gathered in the Chapel at the Alumni Association annual
meeting during Reunions in June enjoyed a trip back in time thanks to
the reflections of Bill Yeomans ’55. This year's half-century class
annalist shared reflections from the "Silent Generation" and the
Hamilton memories that are "etched in our memories forever." Read his
