Members of the Social Justice Initiative, a student organization formed in 2007, presented copies of a petition with about 370 signatures to members of the college's Board of Trustees as they arrived for their quarterly meeting on campus Oct. 4. The key point was the students' proposal of a cultural education center. 
An overwhelming majority of those responding to an alumni survey report that they are connected to the College, that Hamilton helped them define their core values, and that they are better communicators as a result of their experience on the Hill. 
The longtime participant in College causes arrived on the Hill while serving in the Army during World War II and has been deeply involved in fundraising efforts as well as recruiting and assisting students. 
Christopher Daniels '85 has created an association, Hamilton Ventures, to support Hamiltonians who are involved in new enterprises. More than 200 alumni have registered for Hamilton Ventures.Org, which is intended to support entrepreneurs in both for-profit and nonprofit areas. 
Ten young Hamilton writers from around the country now share their thoughts online as they face the challenges and relish the experiences of life on the Hill.
