Casey Gibson '09 and Filligar in the Running to Open for Coldplay
The band Filligar, which includes Hamilton student Casey Gibson '09, has been chosen as a finalist in the competition to open for Coldplay in their upcoming concert in Boston. Currently fourth in the pool of 15 finalists, Filligar needs to be one of the top three vote-winners in order to have the chance to be chosen by Coldplay as the opener.

Kuhn '09 Interviewed on WNYC on Social Networking
Senior Eric Kuhn was interviewed on Wednesday, July 16, on WNYC-FM 93.9, New York's flagship public radio station, on its morning program,"The Takeaway." The segment, "Future politicians will have to face the ghosts of their Facebook pasts," addressed the permanent trails left behind by users of social network Web sites, trails that may embarrass or possibly sabotage future opportunities. Graham Cummiskey '08 Awarded Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to Malaysia
Graham Cummiskey '08 has been awarded a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to Malaysia, where she will teach English. An art history and environmental studies major while at Hamilton, she was one of the original facilitators of the Underground Café. The Underground Café facilitates workshops and programs such as college preparation classes to local inner city teenagers in Utica. Cummiskey also served as Hamilton volunteer coordinator and development intern for the Café.
