The Hamilton College Orchestra, conducted by Heather Buchman, presents the annual Brainstorm! concert on Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts. This concert is free and open to the public.

This year’s theme, A Devil to Play – The Horn and Its Subculture features Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4, K. 495 with Caroline D’Ambro, horn and Brahms Symphony No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 98

Heather Buchman is the music director of the Hamilton College Orchestra and teaches 20th century music history and orchestration.  She is the educational conductor for Symphoriaand has also led professional orchestras in workshops in Naples, Florida, and St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2008 Buchman was among the first recipients of a Women Conductors Grant from the League of American Orchestras to further her professional training in St. Petersburg.
