Confidence Is Overrated: What Actually Drives ActionMany conversations about performance, leadership, and well-being emphasize confidence as a key ingredient for success. Research in Positive Psychology and the work of Albert Bandura point to a more durable and actionable construct: self-efficacy, or the belief in one’s ability to navigate challenges, persist through uncertainty, and influence outcomes.
This interactive session explores how beliefs about capability are formed, strengthened, and sometimes unintentionally diminished across a range of contexts. Through reflection, discussion, and applied activities, participants will examine their own experiences of building self-efficacy and consider how their actions, language, and expectations shape that belief in others.
Participants will leave with practical strategies to strengthen their own sense of capability and to support resilience, growth, and engagement in the people around them.
Lunch will be provided. Remote attendance available as well!
