Have you ever been afraid of saying the wrong thing so instead said nothing at all? Our concerns about being judged and misunderstood often prevent us from taking meaningful action. But never fear! Dr. Maura Cullen will help us struggle with the concept of diversity in an honest and engaging program. In an interactive format, Dr. Cullen will explore how prejudice and discrimination impact our lives so we can better understand how we are different and yet how we are very much the same.

Sex Signals
Blending a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation, "Sex Signals" provides a provocative, in-your-face look at issues surrounding dating, sex and date rape on college campuses. Through the use of humor, the show explores how mixed messages, gender role stereotypes and unrealistic fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between the sexes. Students are thus engaged in a candid discussion on dating and the realities of date rape as they are challenged to provide solutions that will better improve communications in interpersonal relationships. This program will be immediately followed by small group discussions. All students from the South Side of campus and transfer students will participate in this program.
