New Site Design Known Issues
Below is a list of known technical issues with the new site design. If you find a technical problem that is not in this list, please submit a bug report. If you know of a way to resolve a known issue, please send us feedback.
Compatibility Goals
Our goal is to have full functionality in the following Web browsers.
- Firefox 1.0+ for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux
- Internet Explorer 6.0+ for Windows
- Netscape 7.1+ for Windows and Macintosh
We will also attempt to make the site as functional as possible in the following Web Browsers. Technical limitations of the browser may prevent some functionality.
- Safari 1.2+ for Macintosh
- Opera 8.0+ for Windows and Macintosh
- Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows (discontinued by Microsoft)
- Netscape 6, 7.01, and 7.02 for Windows and Macintosh
Level 1 Issues - Major Impact on Functionality
- Home page design does not lay out properly in Firefox 1.0 (Windows&Mac). Firefox 1.5 does work properly.
Level 2 Issues - Minor Impact on Functionality
- Site navigation menus temporarily disappear when dragging mouse across the menu heading in Safari (all versions). This is due to a bug in Safari that repeatedly triggers an 'onmouseover' event.
- Flash animation is not present in Safari (all versions). Safari has a known bug with placing pull-down menus in front of a Flash animation. We are currently displaying an image in place of the Flash movie for Safari users.
- Site navigation menu (top) does not display properly in Netscape 7.01 and Netscape 7.02 on Windows.
Level 3 Issues - Visual, No Impact on Functionality
- First character of a link is not underlined in Firefox 1.0 (Windows&Mac). All other characters are underlined. Firefox 1.5 works properly.
- White space below menu bar (all templates) in Opera 8+.
- Log out button appears on top of pull-down menu in My Hamilton (all browsers)
