Favorite Professor(s) and why: Henry Rutz and Professor Raybeck (Anthropology) and Susan Sanchez-Casal (Spanish). All three are so intelligent and engaging. They have all pushed me academically and expected nothing but the best from me. Their confidence in me and encouragement has meant a lot to me and really helped me succeed in and out of the classroom.
Most proud academic moment at Hamilton: Making Dean's List and receiving this award.
Favorite athletic moment at Hamilton: Beating Amherst this year in first round playoffs to make it to the Final Four for the first time in Hamilton Women's Hockey history.
Future career plans: Still undecided at this point.
What have you learned or gained by participating in this sport?: I have gained a family of friends all of whom I know I can count on and will have everlasting memories and friendships with. The team and coaches have always pushed me to be not only the best player I can be but the best person as well. My Hamilton Hockey experience has truly exemplified how success is fueled by heart and pride. This notion of heart and pride along with the confidence that I have gained by playing hockey are things that I will continue to carry with me and apply to all aspects of my future.
