Days-Massolo Student Cultural Organizations

The DMC is home to several student cultural organizations that focus on a range of topics such as race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual identity. These organizations rely on thoughtful discourse and community outreach to propel change on Hamilton's campus.

Student Cultural Organizations

Black Latinx Student Union

The Black and Latinx Student Union is a cultural organization on campus that seeks to empower its members within the Hamilton College Community based on the pillars of academics, cultural awareness, diversity, community engagement, coalition building, and social justice. In the spirit of unity, we as an organization also seek to engage the Hamilton College Community with opportunities and experiences of ethnic diversity. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email blsu@hamilton.edu.

Feminists of Color Collective

The Feminists of Color Collective aims to provide a politically safe space for students to freely and openly discuss issues of race and gender. We also hope to educate the campus by combining open discourse, literature, and guest speakers to come and specifically talk about issues of race and gender. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email fcc@hamilton.edu.

La Vanguardia

La Vanguardia’s mission is to give a voice to Latinx students and enrich campus diversity, we foster and embrace Latinx culture to lead discussions on Latinx identity, organize Latinx focused events, and create a welcoming experience for our diverse community. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email lv@hamilton.edu.

Queer Student Union

Queer Student Union is all about making space for the Queer Community. We work hard to ensure a safe, private, and judgment-free environment for our members. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email qsu@hamilton.edu.

Voices of Color Lecture Series

The purpose of the Voices of Color Lecture Series (VCLS) is to honor C. Christine Johnson, the former Higher Education Opportunity Program director, through organizing a lecture (or series of lectures) that exposes the Hamilton community to the work of various people of color. The lectures serve to enhance Hamilton students’ understanding and familiarity with the history and contributions of the oppressed and erased by providing support to existing programs, academic departments, and artistic pursuits. It is the role of the planning committee to invite a speaker of color who can foster a discussion of social understanding, transition, growth, and change. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email vcls@hamilton.edu.

Womxn's Center

The Hamilton College Womxn's Center is an inclusive, student-run activist and educational space, led by womxn. We seek to raise awareness of womxn's issues through the Hamilton community. We are dedicated to the encouragement of personal growth within our community members and to effecting change through education about issues especially related to gender and society. We encourage exploration of the intersection of gender, race, sexual orientation, class, and other characteristics as they are incorporated into societal structures that maintain hierarchical injustices. If you would like to be added to our mailing list or having any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out to us through our email womxn@hamilton.edu.
