Family
Busy and full of challenges. After trying many formulas, I currently work 3 long days a week. I have taken up yoga to try to keep my head and body in balance. I have 3 girls aged 14, 11, and 8 each with unique personalities. My oldest is full of energy and impulse, my middle is more quiet and contemplative, and my youngest likes to go along with her sisters for the ride. My poor husband is out numbered.

Spouse
Fred F. Tilden, of 18 years

Annie (8)
Sammy (2--our dog!)

Bio
After I left the hill, I landed in Shrewsbury, MA teaching emotionally-disturbed children and then returned to medical school in "84 back in CT. In '88, I began a residency in pediatrics, psychiatry and child psychiatry and 6 years later, after my first child was born, I left the urban scene for a bit less choas and a bit more green. I have been in West Hartford, CT ever since.

Fond Momories at Hamilton
I remember fraternity cocktail parties that started out formal and well-mannered and then, once the gin and tonics kicked in, the carpets rolled up and dancing lasted until early morn. I remember cold walks from Major Dorm, cross country skiing behind the Kirkland campus, and snowy walks through the beautiful root glen.

How has the Hamilton Speech program impacted your life
I thought that first speech was the toughest thing I ever did but now, I give speeches a lot in my professional and personal life (just ask my husband and kids). I have to believe the skills I learned at Hamilton have served me well.
