When you are not working at the gallery what are you up to?

Most often, I am busy doing economic research or solving math problems. In my free time, I enjoy cooking homemade Chinese dishes and picking out classic films to watch with friends on the weekend.

Tell us one of your favorite gallery moments?

My favorite time at the gallery is when we have the Senior Art Exhibition at the end of the school year. I love to see all different artworks by my senior class friends, some of whom I even hang out with on campus. During the exhibition opening reception I get the the chance to talk with them about their works inspired by their four-year experience at Hamilton.

What about art? What is your favorite art medium?

My favorite medium would be paint on canvas. I like it being a very traditional art medium and the way in which paint expresses ideas.

What is your favorite exhibition you have seen at the Emerson Gallery?

Contemporary Artists' Sketchbooks in 2009-2010. Although I am not an artist myself, I have drawn sketches in my spare time since I was little. It's fascinating for me to see how artists sketch out great works in simple drawing books.

If you could have any artist create your portrait whom would you choose?

I would want to see how I would look in a Renaissance painting by the great and irreplaceable Italian artist Leonardo Da Vinci.

What about music? Which musician or band would you most like to hear play Charissima...in their own style?

Definitely my forever favorite Chinese pop singer, Jay Chou. It would be interesting to hear him perform Charissima with his unique Asian pop style.
