Photography can be a compelling means of communication and powerful form of visual expression. It can tell a story in a single image or with a series of images. Output can be on-screen display or in a printed form. Faculty can work with an instructional technologist to find the model and process that best suits their needs and assignment goals.
Workshop on Visual Literacy - An interactive workshop on photographic principles in terms of visual literacy and communication. Students will deconstruct images to gain better understanding of light, color, composition, shape and form to learn how to make compelling photographs. Workshop can include a introduction to using digital still cameras.
Workshop/Open Lab on Image Editing - Students will have an opportunity to learn basic image manipulation using Photoshop and prepare their files for print or on screen delivery. This is a working session where student obtain assistance with their files.
