  • In 2019, Director and Curator of Special Collections and Archives Christian Goodwillie and Photography and Digital Imagery Specialist Marianita Peaslee visited Nevis, Alexander Hamilton’s birthplace, with three students to begin the process of digitizing historical documents. The manuscripts are now available online.

  • WHCL is Hamilton’s student-run radio station. Established in 1941, 88.7 on your FM radio dial provides the community with the opportunity to get their voices, and their music, heard. This summer, student DJs are broadcasting remotely, joined by alumni. Some of these DJs include Dave Bolger ’99, Zachary Franciose ’14, Kaye Kagaoan ’15, Austin Ford ’19, and, all co-hosting together, Tori Fukumitsu ’15, Caroline Grunewald ’15, Eliza Kenney ’15, and George Taliaferro ’15.

  • Mimi Kelly Csatlos ’00 has been an educator ever since her departure from College Hill 20 years ago. Now, as academic dean and director of college counseling at Virginia Episcopal School (VES) in Lynchburg, Va., Csatlos is facing one of the biggest challenges of her career — making the switch to online learning while keeping over 250 students engaged.

  • After graduation, Haley Hassell ’20 will begin work as an executive trainee with Ruder Finn, a public relations firm that is one of the world's largest privately owned communications agencies. After completing training, Hassell will work as an assistant account executive.

  • More than 75 members of the Hamilton community gathered via Zoom on April 29 to hear alumni experts discuss the challenges and realities of governing amidst a pandemic. The virtual panel, hosted by the Hamilton Career Network, featured Tom Vilsack ’72, former U.S. secretary of agriculture and governor of Iowa; Bill Purcell ’76, former mayor of Nashville; and Maura Calsyn ’95, managing director of health policy at the Center for American Progress.

  • Brad Smallwood ’90 joined Facebook in 2008, just as it was beginning to run advertisements on its platform and its annual revenues had not yet topped $100 million. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg recruited him away from Yahoo.
