Associate Professor of Philosophy Alexandra Plakias ’02 was recently selected to be a Marc Sanders Foundation (MSF) 2025 Media Fellow. According to a press release announcing this year’s fellows, the MSF “Philosophy in Media Initiative aims to increase the presence of philosophy in print, audio, and video media by training philosophers to write and produce for the public, and by connecting philosophers to editors and commissioners in the media industry.”
As a “Trade Books” fellow, Plakias will “write, speak to, and produce for the general public in the major media market spaces.” Sara Purinton ’17, a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton’s University Center for Human Values, was also selected for this program.
Funding for the program is provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and Princeton University’s Center for Human Values and the Department of Philosophy.
