Engaged Scholars Program

The Engaged Scholars Program encourages students to complete four (4) substantial experiential learning activities throughout their time at Hamilton. These activities (link below) are highlighted in an e-portfolio that archives their reflective narratives, photo journals, vlogs, or blogs. Students also have the opportunity to share their experiences at a spring semester conference, in a new magazine, or via a story-sharing Podcast (coming Summer 2025).

Machine Learning Music

Alex Kim ’25, a music and math double-major, spent his summer exploring machine learning and music through the help of an Emerson grant. With the guidance of Assistant Professor of Music Charlotte Botha, Kim developed a vocal register classification tool through machine learning models.
