Description: Prerequisites: Citrix installation and registration (https://tinyurl.com/y5a4lx97) and SSS OR R/RStudio/TeX installation (instructions below) Mac: https://tinyurl.com/yahkufb4, Windows: https://tinyurl.com/yxbbxte4 “Introduction to R” or at least one month of R experience Intro-level research methods course (e.g., ECON 265/266, GOVT 230, PSYCH/NEURO 380, MATH 152, etc.) is strongly recommended. Do registered voters favor Biden over Trump than likely voters? Do some pollsters favor either of the two on average? Do social pressures increase voter turnout? Join us for an intermediate-level R workshop for fundamental quantitative analyses! In this workshop, you will learn how to conduct statistical tests, such as the difference in proportions and means, linear regression, and probit/logistic regression. We will explore examples from recent polling data and research papers in social science.
