'Community Listening Sessions' Event Listing

Before we can determine the most appropriate course of action to help create a more inclusive and affirming community at Hamilton College, we must first identify the challenges and strengths that exist.

Social justice educators, Marta Esquilin and Makeeba Browne, will facilitate multiple virtual listening sessions for students, staff, faculty and alumni of the Hamilton College community. These sessions will be tailored for individuals who are members of specific campus constituencies and would like to speak confidentially about their experiences as members of the Hamilton College community.

We understand that the identity groups below are not mutually exclusive and encourage individuals to choose the group in which they want to participate. All groups will explore intersectional and diverse experiences.

Sessions will be limited to 15 persons. Additional registrants will be added to a wait list. Additional sessions may be created pending community demand.

We kindly ask you sign up for sessions that pertain to your membership within the Hamilton community (e.g. current students register for student designated sessions, alumni register for alumni sessions, staff for staff sessions and faculty register for faculty sessions)

Send any questions to advisory-council@hamilton.edu.
