Ryan Martinie
Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Ryan Martinie received his B.S. in biochemistry and biology from Calvin College in 2013. He then continued his studies at Pennsylvania State University as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and graduated with his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2018, followed by postdoctoral research at Princeton University. His research interests concern how enzymes utilize metal atoms to perform difficult chemical reactions, how bacteria utilize these enzymes to produce complex molecules, and discovering new molecules with potential medical relevance.
