Claudia Contreras Mendoza

Claudia Contreras Mendoza received her B.A. In foreign languages from Universidad del Atlántico, and from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with an M.A in applied linguistics. She worked as an English Foreign Language teacher in different bilingual schools and language institutes in Colombia. These experiences led Contreras to specialize in the acquisition of a language and effective ways to teach it, including the material design for ESL and SFL. Her most recent research experience includes the design of a digital material that facilitates Spanish learners the learning of a specialized vocabulary while experiencing cultural and gastronomic events.
