Michael Meola'87, P'26 is a Senior Partner at BJH Advisors LLC. BJH is a boutique real estate, planning, infrastructure finance, and housing policy firm based in New York City with an Atlanta office. Prominent projects BJH has contributed to include Moynihan Station, Penn Station, the redevelopment of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, work on the Interboro Express (IBX) light rail system in Brooklyn and Queens, and city-wide policy initiatives including the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity (2024) rezoning and initiatives addressing climate change and flood mitigation. BJH principals contributed to the redevelopment of Hudson Yards and finance of the No. 7 subway extension into that district in earlier positions in the Bloomberg Administration and as consultants subsequently. Clients include the City of New York, State of New York, City of Philadelphia, City of Detroit, Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (MA), and City of Jacksonville. BJH also has a real estate development affiliate that is constructing an affordable housing project in the Hudson Valley and renovating a historic school on Governors Island as a home for climate adaptation research and commercialization. Michael holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School (2001) and Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University (2004).
