Our healthcare system is dealing with the legacy of COVID-19, a decline in trust in government, and a future of uncertainty about government policy and funding. Today, only 40% of us have a lot of confidence in the U.S. healthcare system. All of this comes when we have had great innovation in new and promising treatments that also result in sticker shock for consumers who are coping with ever-increasing deductibles and other purchaser strategies to try to limit healthcare costs. Joe Konen ’75 and Marianne Udow-Phillips K’75 will discuss the current state, possible paths forward, and critical policy options. Moderated by Neil Basu ’01, a certified executive coach (and spouse of a Class of 2000 graduate who has grappled with her own career clash this past year!), the conversation will offer insights into navigating career transitions, an issue many of us encounter at this stage in our professional lives. Following the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to share their own experiences, ask questions, and engage in candid conversations with fellow alumni about one of the most defining aspects of our journeys: career evolution.
