Event Description

Join the Oral Communication Center (OCC) for a series of workshops that teach you foundational communication concepts in bite-size form!

There's the dictionary definition of a word, and then there's the meaning of how it's actually used. We'll talk about how words have layers of meanings and ways you can use those layers to help understand others better and improve your own communication.

To make it easy on your schedule, each session is scheduled for only 30 minutes and the same material is repeated at 12:15 and 4:15.

Each workshop you attend gets you another entry into a raffle for a gift card to the campus coffee shop of your choice. Attend all three workshops this semester and get a bonus entry! Workshops are on Thursday 10/9, Monday 11/3, and Tuesday 11/18.
